Upgrade or Change Your Plan

Switch from Free to Pro or Enterprise at any time. Changes take effect immediately with prorated billing and no long-term contracts.

How to Upgrade

Go to Account Settings

Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard and select Account Settings from the dropdown menu. This takes you to your account management page where you can update your profile, security settings, and billing.

Click the Billing tab

In Account Settings, click the Billing tab in the left navigation. This page shows your current plan, usage statistics, payment history, and the available plan options you can switch to.

Select your desired plan

Review the available plans: Free, Pro, and Enterprise. Each plan card shows the included features, response limits, and pricing. Click the Upgrade button on the plan that best fits your needs.

Choose monthly or annual billing

Toggle between monthly and annual billing cycles. Annual billing saves up to 20% compared to paying month-to-month. Both options are commitment-free and you can switch between them at any renewal.

Enter payment details

Enter your credit card information in the secure payment form. All payments are processed through Stripe and your card details are never stored on SurveyFill servers. If you already have a card on file, it will be pre-selected.

Confirm your upgrade

Review the order summary showing your new plan, billing cycle, and total amount. Click Confirm Upgrade to complete the process. Your new plan activates immediately and you gain instant access to all upgraded features.

What Happens When You Upgrade

  • Changes take effect immediately. As soon as you confirm the upgrade, your account is switched to the new plan. There is no waiting period or manual activation step.
  • Prorated billing for the current cycle. You only pay the difference for the remaining days in your current billing period. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the charge is calculated proportionally.
  • All existing surveys preserved. Your surveys, responses, analytics data, and integrations remain exactly as they are. Nothing is lost or reset during the upgrade process.
  • New features available instantly. Upgraded features like API access, advanced analytics, higher response limits, and ERP integrations are unlocked the moment your upgrade is confirmed.

When Should You Upgrade?

Most teams know it is time to upgrade when they hit one of these signs:

  • You are close to your monthly response limit.
  • You need to add more team members to a project.
  • You want skip logic, branching, or advanced analytics.
  • You need to send invites from your own domain.
  • You want to remove the SurveyFill logo from public surveys.
  • You need a webhook, Zapier, or Acumatica connection.

If none of these apply yet, the Free plan is fine. There is no rush. You can upgrade the day you actually need a higher tier.

How Plan Changes Are Billed

Upgrades

An upgrade takes effect right away. We charge a prorated amount for the rest of the billing period.

  • You only pay for the days you use the new plan.
  • The full plan price starts on your next renewal date.
  • New features unlock the moment the upgrade is confirmed.

Downgrades

A downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep all your features until then.

  • Use the extra time to archive surveys or remove teammates.
  • You will not lose any data, even if you go over the new plan's limits.
  • Surveys that exceed the new limits become read-only until you adjust.

Annual vs monthly

  • Annual billing saves about 20%.
  • Switch from monthly to annual any time. We credit your unused monthly balance.
  • Switch from annual to monthly at your next renewal.

Plan Change FAQ

Will I lose my data if I downgrade?

No. All your surveys, responses, and reports stay safe. If a survey is over the new plan's response limit, it becomes read-only. You can still view and export the data.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. There are no cancel fees. Your account stays active until the end of the current billing period. After that, it moves to the Free plan. Your data is kept.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, in some cases:

  • Monthly plans: Refunded within 7 days if you have less than 50 responses.
  • Annual plans: Prorated refund within the first 30 days.
  • Enterprise: Refunds follow your contract terms.

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Visa, Mastercard, and American Express through Stripe.
  • Bank transfer for annual plans.
  • Invoice with net-30 terms for Enterprise customers.

Where can I see past invoices?

Open Account Settings, then Billing, then Invoice History. You can download any invoice as a PDF.

How do I change the credit card on file?

Open Account Settings, then Billing, then Payment Method. Add a new card. The old one is replaced when the new one is verified.
